HEY JERKS, ANNOUNCEMENT!! IT'S TIME TO GET SOME PLANET CREATION UP IN HERE!! IT’S TAKEN A LONG TIME BECAUSE IT WAS GOING TO BE COMPLICATED BUT THEN WE REALIZED THAT COMPLICATED IS DUMB.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS IN CONVENIENT BULLET POINT FORM:

- Planets are appable, living NPCs! They each have their own journals.
- They start out as a planet seed! Planet seeds are planets ready to be born. They might have a few base traits or some idea of what kind of planet they want to be when they grow up, but as it is they are baaabyplanets who need help of the characters to grow.
- Planet seeds might fall from the sky or be buried in the earth or maybe space dolphins are playing volleyball with them, because space dolphins are dicks like that, idk. They'll show up somehow!
- Once a planet seed has convinced some characters to agree to live on it, it can grow into a planet! It will take on traits based on who is taking up residence there. It can supplant buildings/objects from the surface or create basic structures of its own.
- And once you've established your planet, comment with it to

wanderingstarcharts. Also, anybody else can comment to note that they live there, or structures they've added, or anything else of importance! In this way we can keep track of our locations.

QUESTION! Is the planet that Ted made from the first boss fight the same sort of thing? Because i've not been quite sure how that works and i've just been winging it and assuming shit and i d f k but i don't really want to make a journal for it/app it (IF SOMEONE ELSE DOES, SURE??) so does it still.. count...

To clarify, smaller things or things made from small amounts or damaged glowy things are probably not sentient. And not all planets HAVE to be NPCs, either!

OKAY RAD i'm just gonna keep on keeping on then, because. i can't imagine a planet the size of a a couple city blocks that really does nothing but produce shit for ted's projects would make that interesting of a character.

SO JUST TO CLARIFY if we're apping a planet then we're deciding on its personality, but stuff like its actual physical features are based on the people who help turn it into a planet?

Roughly, but not as strictly as all that! Like if you had a planet that thought land masses were super gross, it could refuse to make them and give everyone boats instead.
